... for inanimate objects...

OK these are not inanimate, but I wanted to show you how nicely my pasar malam flowers bloomed. Not bad huh? RM10 that lasted almost 2 weeks! Hmm maybe I should rethink life's little pleasures with all prices going up and what not?
Anyhow, moving on...

This is a closeup of something I found at a hotel lobby. Cool huh? It's a light feature

And this I found really cool because I was in Singapore, an obviously fast-paced city and time seemed to stand still where my friends brought me to eat - a very popular Bak Kut Teh joint (which famously turned away the ambassador of Hong Kong or something because they didn't take reservations. I found that quite a hoot!)
Check that out! Bamboos! Little Park! Old school kettle for your tea!

Lashes- reinvented and shamelessly dramatic!
Talk about Avant-garde!
I hosted a show which showcased fake lashes as the ultimate luxury fashion accessory. Talk about taking it to a whole new level!
What d'ya think? The model next to me would definitely win if we entered some next top model thing ;) In Tyra's words, " you look fierce girl!'"
So that's what's been happening in my life over the week. How bout yours?
Serena
Though it really doesn't have to take Hollywood's leading men to get this point across, I AM SO GLAD someone decided to pull these manly men together to produce some seriously priceless masterpieces!
"Crying Men" is a collection of photographic portraits of famous film actors by Sam Taylor-Wood (a contemporary British artist).

According to Taylor-Wood, 'Some of the men cried before I even finished loading the camera, but others found it really difficult.'

The ultimate icon of masculinity - Daniel Craig (minus the martinis, ladies, and guns).

Ryan Gosling. Makes you want to give him a hug doesn't it?

Jude Law in foetal position - check out the lighting. I swear that's the only thing I'm checking out.

But of course I had to save the best for last - Robert Downey Jr. For this picture - I shall reserve my comments.
Other leading men - Robin Williams, Ben Stiller, Ed Harris, Sean Penn etc.
Thought I'd share this with you cuz it definitely struck a chord with me. They may be superstars, but they're every inch as human as the rest of us. Either that or they're extremely brilliant actors!
Note to men: showing your vulnerable side makes you so much more attractive. Of course don't scream like a baby!
Till next time, enjoy the pics.
Lazy Bum's idea of an ideal weekend starts with...
BODYCOMBAT!!!
I would post a pic of me kicking $ss (more like air) but you'd get scared. Haiya!!!!
Maybe I'll bump into you at the gym one day and show you. If you dare ;P
And then, a scrumptious brunch that lasts about 3 hours (incl. conversation with fellow lazy bums, staring at the traffic, sky, our beautiful city, reading the weekend papers)

Isn't that just heavenly?!
French toast/ Beef brisket.
Cream Cheese on toast with mountain of mushrooms.
Salmon Omelette.
Stack of fluffy pancakes, with loads of strawberries.
Washed down with a strong strong latte.
If you're nice to me, I'll tell you where that little piece of haven is.
Then, off to pasar malam...

You like the flowers I got?
Who says you need a man to get flowers right? Sigh... the simple things that make a girl happy.

And this is where I laze with my favorite book of the moment, staring at traffic (again, I know. no life). If you look carefully, you can see Genting. See it? It's that cluster of lights hovering above the city.

And this is the book I just finished. In case you were wondering. Never cried reading a book before. I did with this one!
Well there's a little peek into my mundane life. see you Monday 6am!
Hey you, welcome to my crib. Always wanted to say that. LOL

1. Here's the view from my porch. There's an infinity pool and below that is of course the ocean. So seamless, so serene, so 'me' right?
OK FINE, it's a hotel called Fasano in Rio. And that in the distance - the twin peaks of Dois Irmãos. A girl can dream right?

2. This is my REAL pool deck. In front of it - pristine white sand and the big blue.
Actually this is Anantara @ Seminyak in Bali. AT LEAST I stayed at this one when I visited Bali in February!

3. And my sleek open-plan kitchen. Don't you love it?! That's me. I swear! 10 years from now! Maybe! hahaha
OK No, it's actually a beautiful house of some lady called Caroline Diamond from England (found the pics in Livingetc.)
4. So I'm not REALLY showing you where I live. I'm shy that way. But I WILL show you a picture I took of the reflection of my chandelier and dining table on my wall which I thought was cool.
Hope you like it.
And just to share with you what I adore, here's one of my dream chairs. Obviously I don't own one ;)
